Privacy Policy
Effective: October 8, 2026
The Short Version
- The quick tools run in your browser. What you type into them never reaches us.
- hashkit.dev shows no ads and uses no analytics, no tracking pixels and no cookies. It loads no scripts from other companies.
- The only personal data involved is the technical data our web host needs to deliver the site, and anything you choose to send us by email.
- We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Who Is Responsible for Your Data
hashkit.dev is run by Leonid Haimov, an individual (sole proprietor) based in Israel, trading as Softaleo ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@hashkit.dev.
What This Policy Covers
This policy covers the website hashkit.dev (including www.hashkit.dev) and its quick tools. The apps published under HashKit run on their own subdomains, and each has its own privacy policy, which covers accounts, app data and payments:
Purchases of app plans are processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
What We Collect, Why, and On What Legal Basis
1. When you visit the site
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. When your browser requests a page, Vercel receives the technical data any web server receives: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. Vercel uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, as our hosting provider (processor). We don't use it to identify or profile you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
2. When you use a quick tool
Nothing. The tools run entirely in your browser. What you paste or type is processed on your device, is not sent to us or anyone else, and is not stored by the site.
3. When you email us
We receive your email address, your name if your email shows it, and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to deal with what you asked for (for example a refund or a privacy request).
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f)); when your message is about a purchase, taking steps you asked for under a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); and keeping records the law requires (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Mail to support@hashkit.dev and nice@hashkit.dev is forwarded by Cloudflare's email routing service to our mailbox, which Google hosts (Gmail).
You Don't Have to Give Us Anything
No law requires you to give us personal data, and the site and its tools work without it. Emailing us is up to you; if you don't, we simply can't answer you. (This is the notice required by section 11 of Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981.)
Cookies and Similar Technologies
hashkit.dev sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. It shows no ads and runs no analytics, so there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. Fonts and scripts are served from hashkit.dev itself.
Who Receives Your Data
- Vercel Inc. (USA), website hosting. Privacy notice.
- Google LLC (USA), hosts our mailbox (Gmail), where email sent to us arrives. Privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), email routing for support@hashkit.dev and nice@hashkit.dev: it forwards mail sent to them to our mailbox. Privacy policy.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to disclose data. Nobody else.
We don't sell personal data, rent it, or share it for advertising.
International Transfers
We are based in Israel. The European Commission recognises Israel as providing an adequate level of data protection (Decision 2011/61/EU, reconfirmed in January 2024), and the UK recognises it too. Vercel, Google and Cloudflare are in the United States and certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the EU, UK and Switzerland accept as a safeguard for these transfers. Our providers may also use the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How Long We Keep It
- Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a short time under its own retention rules, and we don't copy them anywhere.
- Emails are kept as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up. Emails about a purchase or refund may be kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Ask us to delete your emails and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy; have it corrected; have it deleted; restrict or object to how we use it (including any use based on legitimate interests); and receive it in a portable format. Under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law you may review the data held about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. We make no automated decisions about you.
To use any of these rights, email support@hashkit.dev. We'll answer within one month. In practice, the only personal data we may hold about you is email you sent us.
You can also complain to a data protection authority:
- In Israel: the Privacy Protection Authority
- In the EU/EEA: the authority in your country (list of authorities)
- In the UK: the Information Commissioner's Office
- In Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner
We'd appreciate the chance to fix a problem first, but you don't have to ask us before complaining.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Because the tools never send your input anywhere, there is no tool data on our side to leak.
Children
hashkit.dev is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has emailed us personal data, tell us and we'll delete it.
Links to Other Sites
The site links to other websites, including our apps and Paddle. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we won't apply it without telling you first.
